The truth about being an indie author...and maybe asking for your support.
Being an indie author isn’t just writing.
It’s late nights and early mornings. It’s developmental edits, proofreading, formatting, cover design. It’s learning new platforms, creating graphics, running newsletters, and often, trying to support others in the community, too.
It’s pouring my heart into extras that make the story richer.
And all of it costs time, energy, and (the most uncomfortable conversation of all. Yes, the one we all hate...) money.
EVERYONE hates asking for help. Especially writers and artists. We worry it might feel pushy. But I’m taking a risk. And asking if you’ll take one with me.
Because of the world's messiness, because of the financial state a lot of people are in, I've tried to make supporting this wild dream of mine accessible.
Check out the ways you can support me below:
Substack Subscription → behind-the-scenes letters, early story peeks, and writing insights
Ko-fi → pay-what-you-can, even $1 helps
Anyone who supports me through Substack or Ko-fi will be listed in the acknowledgements of my books. Your name becomes part of the worlds you help create.
Thank you for even considering it!
